My Saturday outing this week [21_08_2010] was Vamp furniture in Woodstock. This little gem is hidden away just off Albert road, but the dynamic, bright blue and yellow signage can't be missed, driving down Albert road. Vamp's home is in an old, beautiful, little church that was also used as a school before Vamp moved in, mid-year 2009. It is gorgeous and compliments all the [re]Vamp[ed] furniture on the inside and vice versa.
For more than a year now I have been wanting to pop in, but you know how it goes! So finally i did it and so regret not going there earlier. I am sure I have missed out on so many beautiful furniture pieces. [To avoid disappointment, go today!]
Walking into the small church, I felt so happy and fell in love with every single item inside. I was very warmly received by Paula, the lovely owner of Vamp furniture. Vamp stocks only their own, unique revamped furniture and also a few smaller items by other entrepreneurs. They also have awesome old-school kitchenalia, which is the reason for me leaving there very happy with my new old biscuit tin. [I wasn't planning on, but you can't help yourself!]
Vamp is a great shop and you have to visit them! Their blog address is www.vampfurniture.blogspot.com where you can stay up to date on new stock arriving, but you cannot only visit the blog, photos don't do the furniture or store enough justice. You have to go there!
So lovely to meet you today and thanks for the kind words!
