Last night was the launch of an exciting new shop in Kloof street [24 Kloof street], Unknown Union. Stocking fabulous men's wear, from different international designers, Unknown Union is a bright, exclusive shop bringing something new to Cape Town's urban scene and vibe.
Not only are they a clothing shop though, they also specialize in architecture, design, music and food! How exciting. The shop was designed by a New York based company and shouts, "come into our happy space". The very luminous colours combined with the very bright fluorescent lights are such a perfect combination. The first floor is the shop and the second floor will always be something different like pop-up boutiques, etc. But wait, there's more! They support local charities. The actual Unknown Union brand will be manufactured here in Africa and exclusively be available at Unknown Union, Cape Town and a portion of their sales will go to these charities.
The launch was a success I would say, even though the food could have arrived a bit earlier [but well worth the wait!, the vibe was great and ice cold Corona kept everyone happy as well as, obviously, the gorgeous shop!
