Babylonstoren

Finally! The first post for 2011, I am terrible I know, but this year started with a bang and it feels like I never even had a holiday the 2010 rush just spilt over into 2011. But here it is 2011's first post and a great place to start the year off with indeed, Babylonstoren.

What better place to have a gorgeous guest farm, but the countryside. Situated between Paarl and Franschoek, this lovely old Cape Dutch farm estate has been transformed by Karen Roos (previous editor of Elle Decoration) into a tranquil, beautiful guest farm. With plenty to do and a magnificent garden with healthy, fresh vegetables, this is the perfect escape. Get away from the crazy city life and just relax, go wine tasting, take long strolls through the garden, enjoy lovely meals at the restaurant or unwind with a massage at the spa.

I am in love with the amazing green space and the Cape Dutch farm house, the white interiors and victorian baths in the bathrooms, the fresh veggies and the stainless steel kitchens.

I feel relaxed just by doing this post and can smell the freshly baked farm bread, mmmm! Maybe, just maybe one day I will get to relax at Babylonstoren. For more information and bookings visit the website
