Born a Zimbabwean, Right Mukore at the age of 13 already developed a love for art. So he enrolled in art school and has since been an artist/sculptor. He is now in Cape Town and can be found at the Montebello design center in Newlands, Cape Town. Montebello is home to many designers and artists [www.montebello.co.za]
Not only is Right a sculptor, he also runs an art school for youngsters wanting to be sculptors. Read more about the school on www.mukore.com. Right Mukore has done a gorgeous Wooden Trophy sculpture which can be seen in the June/July issue of Elle Decoration. His sculptures are kind of rough and all natural wood. Beautiful! Great for using in any interior as a piece of art that makes a subtle, yet strong statement. Or even outside in the garden! I love his work, so truly South African... beautiful, but rough with a true African feeling. You go Right Mukore!
